An exciting opportunity to work for an extremely busy airport in Qatar as a Cleaning Manager has arisen. As cleaning Manager you will organize, administer, and lead a program of cleaning and custodial services for catering and kitchen areas. This role is soft service bias, and we are looking for people who have a background of cleaning within luxury high footfall companies with at least 2 years managerial experience.

The Role

  • You will be the cleaning manager for the Catering Building
  • Lead, organize, manage, and supervise all cleaning and custodial operations of the company.
  • Plan staff rotations to ensure full coverage in all shifts and supervise staff hours worked, sickness and annual leave for producing a proper payroll
  • Being responsible for all day to day aspects related to the operations within the cleaning service according to the contract specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets.
  • Plan and coordinate staff allocation and programs and establishes standards and work meth-ods for the contract
  • Organize, plan and direct all in-house training programs on custodial management services and safety programs
  • Coordinate with other trades and department supervisors on work projects and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job.
  • Deliver and maintain fully compliant ISO quality platform along with collaborating with HSEQ Department to provide answer to clients complaints, inspections, audits, etc.

Experience

  • Provide 5 years experience in the delivery of specialized front of house solutions to 5 stars hotels or volume people moving platforms or supermarkets or big retail chains.
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience working within kitchens/catering environment
  • Technical knowledge: Industrial, commercial and domestic cleaning machines, equipment and techniques, hostelry cleaning including hotel rooms and kitchens. Health and safety basics.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Fluency is Spanish is desirable
