Job Description

A leading Integrated Facilities Management Service Provider is currently seeking an experienced Technical / Hard Services Manager to be based in Muscat, Oman. Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for all maintenance matters pertaining to the entire companys operations, which span across company-owned offices and blue-collar workers campuses, highly prestigious FM contracts for luxury residential developments and sites in remote locations, including oil & gas. This is a family status role with a salary of 3,000 to 3,500 Omani Rial per month, plus family benefits (accommodation, car, flights, schools allowance etc). The total package is £80,000 - £120,000.

The Role

  • Responsible for the operation and development of the company's Hard FM / Technical Services business
  • Operation of existing technical services in company's properties and contracts
  • Develop comprehensive capability to grow the business through cyclical tenders
  • Develop and grow the home maintenance brand significantly
  • Responsible for the management of all maintenance personnel in Oman
  • Assist with tender proposals
  • PPM planning and detecting deficiencies, making plans to rectify them


    • You will hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • Proven track record and experience with a reputed Integrated Facilities Management or Hard FM business
    • Strong commercial and business acumen with a good financial understanding of budgetary control
    • Excellent communication skills with Customers, Clients, Colleagues and Team Members
    • Experienced leader with excellent people skills and positive attitude
    • Resourcefulness and results orientate. Capable of taking the initiative and overcoming challenges
    • Keep abreast of trends and developments in the industry such as innovations and cost-saving initiatives
    • Must have an excellent command of the English language and be an effective communicator
    • Ability to set and agree budgets, dealing with staffing and client issues, monitor quality standards, planning new initiatives, and contributing to business development
    • Experience in working and managing in a computerized environment and proficiency in job specific ICT applications and software and high literacy in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
